This is a cigar made exclusively for J & J Cigars shop by Pete Johnson. The cigar starts off with little bit of spice and tons of coco flavors. The spice goes away after about 2 inches into the cigar, but coco and woodsy taste remain. The last third of the cigars, it changes up on you into flavors of tea, flora and honey. Another master job by our friend Pete Johnson!

The Pete Johnson Cigar Event last Friday was a great success! I like to thank all who attended for making this the best event ever, since the store's inception. I like to especially thank Pete for flying up here just for one day to attend my event, for Rick at Big "E" Ales for supplying his great beers. Last but not least, Josh at Lit for being a true brother of the leaf.

The photos for this event will be posted on a later date. However, when Pete came up here, he brought some of his new cigars for us to smoke. I've smoked the new Tat Black and it was unbelievable! But what got me was the the Drac, which will be released on Halloween. I knew the new Tat Black will be phenomenal, but the the Drac is right up there!

It started off with flavors of raisins, liquorices and earthiness and then it changed on you with flavors of coco/chocolate and leather. It was Phenomenal cigar! I can not wait to get it in my store for this Halloween!!

PETE JOHNSON CIGAR EVENT!

The creator of Tatuaje Cigars, recently been voted the #1 most sought after premium cigar in the nation, will be at my shop on Friday September 4th for a Tatuaje Cigar Event! This is the only appearance he will me making up here in this neck of the woods this year.

The event is going to start at 5:30 pm and end around 9:30 pm. There are going to be lot of specials when Pete is in town, so come smoke his great cigars and meet the man himself!

Epernay Le Elegance review

Like I promised, here is my review of this fantastic cigar. First of all, these cigars come in four sizes and the taste profile of each cigar is very different.

The cigar that I'm reviewing today is called Le Elegance and it is 5 3/4" X 40 ring gauge. These are all Nicaraguan puros and the construction of these cigars are impeccable. The cigar starts off with taste of pepper and hint of cedar. As you smoke it through, you get floral, honey and citrus flavors. This is a very complex cigar and the smoke texture is very creamy. Like it's name, this is very ELEGANT smoke.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

These great cigars come in four sizes and are available at my shop. I'm going to post my cigar review on this separately, but it is a medium strength cigar with full rich flavors. Overall profile is that it is creamy, smooth and very elegant smoke( more detailed review coming soon).

This is a new line of cigars from Dion Giolito, the creator of highly sought after Illusione Cigars. According to Dion, this is an off shoot of his ECCJ line. It is a Nicaraguan puro, rolled in Honduras.

After April, I cannot get them until IPCPR show in summer. COME AND GET THEM WHILE IT LAST, BECAUSE IT WILL FLY OFF THE SHELF!

Had a great herf with the Cohiba Club members. We had a blind cigar tasting night. The cigars were Hoyo De Monterrey versus Vegas Cubanas by Don Pepin, both in a Robusto size.

La Flor Double Ligero Lancero

Since I'm having a La Flor Dominicana Cigar Event in two weeks, I've decided to review this great little lancero by Litto Gomez. Do not let the word "Double Ligero" scare you. It is a full flavored cigar, but it is not a ball buster like the Double Ligero Chisel by La Flor.

The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Sun Grown with Dominican fillers and binder. When you first light the cigar, you get lot of earthiness and chocolate flavors on your palate. As the cigar moves on, nutmeg and little bit of pepper spices come on. By the mid way through the cigar, I also got a citrus flavor and the smoke texture was very creamy.

This is a very complex cigar and a wonderful, wonderful cigar. Litto Gomez hit a home run with this baby. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

El Triunfador Cigar Review

This is a cigar that is produced by cigar star Pete Johnson. This will be my first cigar review on this blog and I'm starting off with a cigar that is very hard to find. My suggestion to you is that if you can get one, go get it! These cigars are in limited production and I believe that they only produce around 500 boxes a year.

From the first puff, this cigar takes off! I get lot of German/Milk chocolate with little bit of pepper spice. Midway through the smoke, you get additional coffee flavor added on top of all these previous flavors. The smoke texture is smooth and it has a very long finish!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
